Last checked August 2026. Wix changes its interface often — if something looks different, the underlying steps usually still apply.
The dashboard is the business side of your website. The editor is the design side. Knowing which one you need saves a lot of hunting.
- Home — a summary of visitors, enquiries and tasks.
- Inbox — messages sent through your forms and chat.
- Contacts — everyone who has ever contacted you.
- Settings — domains, business details, billing.
- Marketing & SEO — analytics, integrations, SEO tools.
- Apps — anything installed from the App Market.
Step 1: Open the dashboard
From your Wix account, click the site name rather than Edit Site.
Step 2: Check Settings first
Confirm your business name, contact details and domain are correct.
Step 3: Check the Inbox
Form enquiries land here even when email notifications fail, so it is worth knowing where it is.
