Last checked August 2026. Wix changes its interface often — if something looks different, the underlying steps usually still apply.
Step 1: Make sure the site is published and indexable
In the SEO settings, confirm you have not asked search engines to ignore the site.
Step 2: Verify in Google Search Console
Connect your site so Google recognises you as the owner.
Step 3: Submit the sitemap
Add yoursite.com/sitemap.xml under the Sitemaps section.
Step 4: Request indexing for key pages
Paste each important page address into the URL inspection bar and click Request Indexing.
Step 5: Be patient
New sites commonly take two to four weeks to appear properly.
