Last checked August 2026. Wix changes its interface often — if something looks different, the underlying steps usually still apply.
Step 1: Open the colour palette
In the editor design panel choose Site Colours.
Step 2: Edit the palette, not individual elements
Replacing a palette colour updates every element using it.
Step 3: Pick five colours at most
A main colour, a supporting colour, an accent for buttons, plus a light and dark neutral.
Step 4: Check contrast
Light grey text on white fails accessibility guidelines and is hard to read outdoors.
Step 5: Keep buttons one colour
Consistent button colour teaches visitors what is clickable.
